Happy Halloween, everyone! Today I want to share some really exciting news with you. Recently I was invited to join the Tulsa Wedding Society! I am one of two exclusive professional makeup artists that is a proud member of this awesome society. So what is the Tulsa Wedding Society, you’re asking? It’s a society that works to benefit both the planning bride, and the wedding vendors.
The Tulsa Wedding Society is a select group of some of the finest wedding vendors in the Tulsa area. We’re invited into the Society because of our “exceptional talent, professionalism and ethical treatment of [our] bridal clientele.”* The Society provides brides a great resource via their website and blog for their wedding planning.
It also allows some of Tulsa’s finest wedding vendors to come together as a group, share ideas, info, tips, and trends about the business, and the wedding industry in Oklahoma, plan philanthropic events (we love giving back to the community), and we help promote and support each other as some of the best wedding vendors whose goal it is to make a bride and groom’s wedding day picture-perfect!
And what’s more…if you’re a bride who chooses at least four Tulsa Wedding Society vendors then you’ll get $100 CASH! It’s part of their Tulsa Wedding Society Passport so you’ll definitely want to check it out, get your stamps, and win $100 cash all because you chose some of the best Tulsa wedding vendors!
I’d like to send a big thank you to the Tulsa Wedding Society board and all of its members. I’m so honored and privileged to be a part of such a great team and look forward to all of the exciting stuff ahead of us!
For more info about the Tulsa Wedding Society, its list of preferred vendors, and how you, as the bride, can get your own Tulsa Wedding Society Passport, check out their Website HERE, their Blog HERE, their Facebook Page HERE, and follow them on Twitter HERE.

It’s time to share the rest of some of my Summer 2011 Favorites! To check out the first part of my Summer 2011 Favorites click HERE. You definitely don’t want to miss out on those!
First, meet Michelle Lamb. She is seriously one of my favorite people! She’s hilarious and entertaining without even trying, and when she’s with her husband, Greg, they are a cute couple that is so obviously in love. Just one glance at them and you can tell that they adore each other.
On Michelle’s big day we had fun getting her ready at Iidentity Salon over on Brookside. They did an amazing job on her hair! Some great wedding vendors who were involved in making Michelle’s and Greg’s wedding perfect were Artworks Tulsa Photography, Route 66 Photobooth, The French Bouquet, Tulsa Weddings and Design, and The Silo Event Center.
And then Avery Atkins-Warren…she is one of my biggest cheerleaders and I think she’s just a doll! Almost immediately following her wedding she rated me on WeddingWire.com and referred me and several of her vendors to tons of brides. (Thank you, Avery. I really appreciate it! Girls: Please rate me, and all of your wedding vendors, on WeddingWire.com Your reviews really help us out!)
Avery and her bridal party got ready in the bridal suite at Post Oak Lodge and watched girly flicks one after the other. At one point I actually had to turn one of the bridesmaids away from the TV because she was tearing up over “My Best Friend’s Wedding!”
There were so many top-notch wedding vendors for this wedding, including: Andrea Murphy Photography, Ann’s Bakery, Paper 8, Pen Weddings, Tulsa Weddings and Design, Zach Downing Entertainment, and The French Bouquet.
Last, but certainly not least, is Courtney Clymer. I actually did Courtney’s makeup for 4 different shoots before the wedding, including a trial session. (I’ll blog more about trial sessions in the future—they’re a great way to preview your bridal makeup before your big day!) She was tons of fun. I just loved working with her and really enjoyed her bridal party, too.
Thanks to Montag Photography, and all of the fabulous wedding vendors for making Courtney’s wedding so wonderful.
I’ll be back to blog again soon! Have a great weekend!
