Hello, and welcome to my Blog! I’m Ashlee Bivins, a professional makeup artist specializing in airbrush makeup applications for weddings, proms, special occasions, and photo shoots. I work primarily throughout the Tulsa Metro area, but am available to travel elsewhere upon request. I absolutely love what I do and I translate this into my work each and every day. I feel honored to be selected by so many amazing people to be a part of these special times in their lives.

I will use this Blog as a journal of my experiences as a makeup artist. I feel this is a great way for my clients to get a better feel for what I can do, as well as the type of person I am. Since I can remember I have had a passion for artistic flairs like photography, painting, and makeup. Over time makeup took over and my passion officially became my job! I spent some time as a makeup artist at the one and only MAC Cosmetics. It was simply amazing. Anyone who is interested in becoming a professional makeup artist should definitely work for a well-established firm like MAC. My experience at MAC gave me so much exposure to the concept of how to apply different styles and techniques. I was able to learn from and was inspired by some of the best artists in the field.

After gaining tons of experience, learning amazing tricks of the trade and falling even more in love with makeup, I decided to branch out and establish my own business– Ashlee Bivins Makeup Artist. Over the years my makeup artistry experience has expanded to include makeup for bridal parties, engagement shoots, fashion expeditions, model head shots, instruction, print, TV, film, and a variety of special occasions. I love all of my artistry areas but I have a heart for weddings. I just love all of the beauty and romance that surrounds weddings. And there’s nothing like getting to doll up and make the bride feel beautiful on her very big day!

And because I said I would, I’ll share a bit about myself…

When I’m not busy with makeup artistry you’ll find me spending time with my amazing fam & crazy friends. I love entertaining and sorta have a shopping addiction. I always have a project going at the house (that usually involves paint). Currently, I’m panting some Jimmy Buffet- “Margaritaville” inspired wooden patio chairs to surround the new fire pit my husband is going to “make”-wink-. I like to travel, wine, and I’m a sucker for old TV shows from when I was a kid. Did you know that “Saved By The Bell” is on at 7:00 am every morning?

My business has blessed me so much that on Saturdays I am Tulsa-bound and I love it! My entire family is from the great state of 10,000 lakes- Minnesota. I love my family and when I come home from a family reunion I acquire the northern accent. It’s crazy how we are such sponges. I have two beautiful children, Braydin and Jaylee, and I am married to an amazing man, Jay, who knows more about make up than any man should!
